Day 1 - Tuesday 29th March (MT,L,D)
Departing approximately 7.30am from Roma Street, Brisbane we travel south through the picturesque Tweed Valley stopping for morning tea at Plantation House. We continue along the coast to the Scottish Town of Maclean for lunch, before we make our way through Coffs Harbour, finishing our day at Port Macquarie. Overnight Quality Sails Resort Port Macquarie.
Day 2 - Wednesday 30th March (B,MT,L,D)
This morning we leave beautiful Port Macquarie where our first stop for the day is at Karuah, for our morning tea break and leg stretch. We continue on the Newcastle Freeway arriving at Gosford for lunch. We then travel to the northern suburbs of Sydney, arriving at Hotel Chifley for an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Thursday 31st March (B,L,D)

This morning we head towards the Illawarra Coast via Campbelltown and Appin for a bird’s eye view of the City of Wollongong, from the top of Bulli Pass. We then travel down the pass to the coast and travel the ‘Sea Cliff Highway’, on to Lake Illawarra for a relaxing lunch overlooking the water. This afternoon we travel south along the picturesque coastline on to Nowra, we then leave the coast and head inland through Kangaroo Valley, up into the Southern Highlands. Arrive and checkin at the Gibraltar Hotel Bowral for 3 nights. Gibraltar Hotel Bowral opened in September 2010, and is everything and more you could ever desire in charming boutique accommodation
Day 4 - Friday 1st April (B,L,AT,D)
This morning we travel into Bowral to visit the Bradman Museum, then make our way to the beautiful Southern Highland Winery for lunch. Our afternoon takes us on a short trip to Australia’s first inland city Goulburn, where we have a tour and afternoon at Garroorigang Homestead, home of the Hume Family (one of Australia’s most famous explorers). Return to Gibraltar Hotel Bowral.
Day 5 - Saturday 2nd April (B,D)
Today Bundanoon is Brigadoon for a day. We are treated to the Street Parade with Massed Pipe Bands, Marching Scottish Clans and decorated floats. After opening ceremony there are Scottish Country & Highland dancing demonstrations, individual pipe band displays, Highland Cavaliers and Southern Highland Kennel & Obedience Club display. The feature event with the `Tartan Warriors’ lifting the Bundanoon Stones is a highlight, along with traditional and not so traditional games and activities such as the Hay Toss, Shot Put, Caber Toss, Kilted Dash, Egg Throwing, Water Toss and more. With over 100 variety & speciality stores, 30 variety food stalls, art, crafts, Scottish goods and tartans, this day is a height of activity. We finish our day after the closing ceremony watching the Lone Piper, then return to the Gibraltar Hotel.

Day 6 - Sunday 3rd April (B,MT,L,D)
This morning we travel into the Blue Mountains, where we stop at the ‘Three Sisters’ lookout for morning tea. We then head west through the town of Lithgow and on to Bathurst to take a lap of Mount Panorama followed by lunch. Heading north we pass through the old gold mining town of Sofala and into the wine district town of Mudgee for a two night stay at the beautifully appointed Parklands Resort.
Day 7 - Monday 4th April (B,L,D)
This morning we visit the ‘Town on the Ten Dollar Note’ – Gulgong, to visit the famous pioneer museum. Next we visit Burnbrae Winery for a guided tour and wine tasting, followed by a lovely lunch set amongst the oak barrels. We then travel back into town to visit ‘Mandurah at the Railway’, a co-operative gallery displaying a wide range of quality arts and crafts. Overnight Parklands Resort, Mudgee.

Day 8 - Tuesday 5th April (B,L,D)
We leave Mudgee this morning for a visit to ‘The Honey Bee’ before we head north via Coolah, the town with the black stump, through the rich wheat, sheep and beef farming districts. We arrive at Gunnedah for lunch and then head east to the city of Tamworth stopping at the ‘Big Guitar’, renowned for one of the best displays of country music memorabilia. We then head up the Moonbi Range passing through Uralla towards our destination, and overnight stay at Armidale. Overnight Quality Hotel Powerhouse.
Day 9 - Wednesday 6th April (B,MT,L)
Travelling north from Armidale we travel through Guyra, Glenn Innes and on to Tenterfield for a cuppa and leg stretch. Across the border at Wallangarra and into Queensland and past the grape growing districts of Ballandean, and the stone fruit and apple growing areas of Stanthorpe and The Summit. The descent from this cool climate is obvious as you travel down to the ‘Rose and Rodeo’ city of Warwick, our lunch stop today before we descend the Cunningham Ranges back into Brisbane.
