Day 1 – Saturday 23rd October 2010 (L,D)
Departing your home port airport, fly into Sydney for a scheduled arrival time of 11am.
Meet up with our Coach Captain and then head to Darling Harbour for an afternoon cruising Sydney Harbour, enjoying a lovely lunch consisting of fresh ocean prawns and cold cuts buffet. Early afternoon we checkin to the 4 star Courtyard Marriott Hotel, Parramatta (14klms from Olympic Park) Tonight we have Diamond Reserved Seating at the Ben Hur Stadium Spectacular, the biggest theatrical event ever seen in Australia, and feature a live chariot race with 32 horses, a giant Roman galleon and grand stage which transforms ANZ Stadium into the biggest Roman amphitheatre ever seen.
Day 2 – Sunday 24th October 2010 (B,L,D)
This morning we travel to Pokolbin visiting the Hunter Valley Gardens for a guided
train tour with commentary over part of the 25 hectares of International Garden. We
then visit Drovers Camp Restaurant to enjoy camp oven cooked lunch followed by one hour floor show by The Drover and his famous singing cattle dogs, `The Fleabag Trio.’ We make our way to Singleton for an overnight stay at the 4 star Quality Inn Charbonnier Hotel.
Day 3 – Monday 25th October 2010 (B,L,D)
This morning we travel through the Upper Hunter to Denman to collect a local guide
to take us visiting famous Woodlands Thoroughbred Stud (home to Octagonal), Pukara Olive Farm and Chocolate Hills. Our afternoon takes us through Tamworth, Moonbi Moonbi Range, Uralla into Armidale to check-in at the 4 star Quality Hotel Powerhouse.
Day 4 – Tuesday 26th October (B,L)
Departing Armidale this morning we travel the New England Highway and in the
springtime this drive is just a picture. We make our way to Stanthorpe for lunch at the
College of Wine & Tourism, where we are served their feature dish ‘Medley of Mains’, a tasting plate served with selected Banca Ridge wines. Our afternoon takes us through the ‘Rose and Rodeo’ City of Warwick, down the Cunningham Ranges back into Roma St, Brisbane.
