Day 1 – Wednesday 20th Oct 2010 (L,D)

We depart Roma St Brisbane at 8.00am and travel through Aratula and over the Cunningham Ranges to Bestbrook Mountain Resort for morning tea. We board the coach and pass through the ‘Rose and Rodeo’ City of Warwick before we climb the range to Stanthorpe for lunch at the College of Wine & Tourism, where we are served their feature dish ‘Medley of Mains’, a tasting plate served with selected Banca Ridge wines. It is Springtime and travelling the New England Highway is a picture as we make our way to Armidale for our first night staying at the 4 star Quality Hotel Powerhouse.

 

Day 2 –Thursday 21st Oct 2010 (B,M/T,L,D)

After breakfast we head south through Uralla and down the Moonbi Moonbi Range to Tamworth. We continue on through Scone, Muswellbrook and onto Denman where we break for lunch. After lunch we collect a local guide to take us visiting famous Woodlands Thoroughbred Stud (home to Octagonal), Pukara Olive Farm and Chocolate Hills. We travel on through the Upper Hunter and make our way to Singleton for our overnight stay at the 4 star Quality Inn Charbonnier Hotel.

 

Day 3 – Friday 22nd Oct 2010 (B)

This morning we travel to Pokolbin visiting the Hunter Valley Gardens for a guided train tour with commentary over part of the 25 hectares of International Garden. After lunch we depart the Hunter region, through Cessnock and on to the expressway bound for Sydney. We arrive at our destination at the 4 star Courtyard Marriot Hotel, Parramatta (14klms from Olympic Park) Tonight we have Diamond Reserved Seating at the Ben Hur Stadium Spectacular, the biggest theatrical event ever seen in Australia, and feature a live chariot race with 32 horses, a giant Roman galleon and grand stage which transforms ANZ Stadium into the biggest Roman amphitheatre ever seen.

 

Day 4 – Saturday 23rd October (B,L,)

After a leisurely breakfast we board the coach and travel to Darling Harbour where we board an exclusively chartered vessel for a cruise of Sydney Harbour, while enjoying a lovely lunch consisting of fresh ocean prawns and cold cuts buffet. After this indulgence we board a Pegasus Coach for our transfers to the airport for our flight home.
