Day 1 – Tuesday (D)

Flight/Rail to Cairns | Transfer Country Comfort Sunlodge.

Arrange flights/rail to arrive in Cairns after 2pm where you will be welcomed and transferred to the quality 4 star Country Comfort Sunlodge (5 night stay). Situated in the heart of Cairns, the Esplanade is two blocks away, a short walk to the Casino and night markets.

 

Day 2 – Wednesday (B,MT,L,D)

Lake Barrine | Yungaburra | Atherton Tablelands | Waterfalls | Innisfail | Babinda

This morning we travel through sugar plantations to visit the Volcanic Crater, Lake Barrine. We cruise the tranquil waters taking in the local flora and the abundance of wildlife. Next we stop at the famous giant Curtain Fig Tree & Yungaburra Gallery, and onwards past majestic waterfalls such as Malanda Falls and the spectacular Millaa Millaa Falls. We stop at Mungalli Falls for lunch before departing the Atherton Tablelands for Cairns via Innisfail and Babinda.

 

Day 3 – Thursday (B,L,D)

Mossman Gorge | Daintree River Cruise | Rainforest Habitat

Today we visit the daring Daintree where our first stop along the way is the picturesque Mossman Gorge. We then have a chance to spot a croc or two and other wildlife on the Daintree River Cruise, as your guide takes you through the mangroves. Arrive at The Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary, and explore Australia’s leading environmental wildlife experience. Enjoy “Lunch with the Lorikeets” and afterwards we wind our way back visiting Port Douglas and travelling home via the scenic coastal drive on the Capt Cook Highway.

 

Day 4 – Friday (B,D)

Free Day – Option for Green Island Day Tour

A visit to Green Island is popular, however it is a weather permitting day tour. Today is your free day to do as you please. Enjoy the beautiful surrounds of the resort or catch the local coach for some shopping. See the reception staff for optional tours on offer.

 

Day 5 – Saturday (B,L,D)

Kuranda Markets | Army Duck Amphibious vehicle | Scenic Skyrail

Our day commences with a journey by coach to Kuranda where on arrival we have time to browse the famous market stalls. We then take a trip of a lifetime on the Army Duck Amphibious vehicle with driver/guide through ancient ferns and flora in the rainforest. An Outback Aussie Grill lunch is served before we catch the Cairns Scenic Skyrail over the Rainforest canopy back into Cairns.

 


Day 6 – Sunday (B,L)

City Sights | Sugar Terminal | Trawler Base | Blue Sky Brewery | Airport Transfers

This morning we tour the city sights taking us past the sugar terminal and trawler base. We continue on to Palm Cove and enjoy lunch and a guided tour at the Blue Sky Brewery before being transferred to Cairns airport. Please arrange flights after 3pm. group bookings also welcomed on any other tour.
