The Pyramid
Day 1 (MT,L,D)
Departing from your pick-up point we stop for morning tea and continue on to Stanthorpe, visiting Stanthorpe Wine Centre for wine tasting, bush poetry and BBQ. Next we visit Castle Glen Vineyard, the largest liqueur manufacturer in Australia, set in a modern day castle in the heart of the Granite Belt. Complete with stained-glass windows and huge fire-place you are welcome to taste the vast product range, a truly unique experience. Arrive and check in at High Street Motor Inn Stanthorpe for 2 nights.
Day 2 (B,L,D)
This morning we take in the amazing scent at the Aloomba Lavender Farm before visiting Ballandean Estate Wines, for a guided tour of wine making and the bottling process. Lunch is at The Bramble Patch Berry Farm, renown for quality strawberries, raspberries and boysenberries. Enjoy lunch surrounded by crops of berries before we indulge in the Berry Waffle Basket. Our afternoon takes us to Girraween National Park to tempt our taste buds at Heavenly Chocolates. On our return to Stanthorpe we travel through the Sirromet Wines Vineyard, and visit the Pyramid.
Day 3 (B,L)
Beginning our day at the Stanthorpe Heritage Museum we take in Stanthorpe’s early development and learn about the people and industries that shaped the region…tin mining, grazing, transport and fruit growing. Discover the colourful characters, the antiquities of the day, the historical events and golden eras that helped shape Stanthorpe. We continue north to Warwick on the Condamine River, known as the ‘Rose and Rodeo City’ we stop for lunch before heading for home..
