Day 1 – Thu 16th Feb 2012 (MT,L,D)
Departing from Roma Street, Brisbane city, we travel south through the picturesque Tweed Valley. After morning tea at Plantation House we continue down the coast to Yamba for lunch, before making our way through Coffs Harbour to Port Macquarie for an overnight stay at the Quality Sails Resort.
Day 2 – Fri 17th Feb 2012 (B,MT,L,D)
This morning we leave beautiful Port Macquarie, take a break at Karuah for morning tea then continue on to Gosford for lunch. Travelling through Sydney’s western suburbs we head into the Blue Mountains for a three night stay at the majestic Hotel Carrington at Katoomba, a grand old lady known for her timeless elegance. Tonight the hotel lounge transforms into a ‘Speakeasy’ beginning our step back in time.
Day 3 - Sat 18th Feb 2012 (B,L,D)
Today we revisit the roaring 20’s with an historical snapshot of life in the ‘age of jazz’. During the day enjoy the vintage cars on display in Carrington Drive and take in the Rags ‘n’ Riches entertainment in The Piazza. In the evening it’s time to put on your glad rags for The Great Art Deco Ball! With entertainment by the “JazzHat Quintet” and a 3 course dinner with drinks included you’ll be dancing the Charleston in style.
Day 4 – Sun 19th Feb 2012 (B,MT,L,D)
Today we take in the breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains at the ‘Three Sisters Lookout’. We then travel through Mt Victoria and Bell to Clarence to board the historic Zig Zag Railway. After lunch we return to the Hotel Carrington for an informative glimpse into the stylish fashions of this progressive era at the “The Quintessential Wardrobe for a Stylish Flapper”. Enjoy this parade and discussion about fashion, and the life and times of the 1920’s.
Day 5 – Mon 20th Feb 2012 (B,L,D)
Leaving the Blue Mountains and the 1920’s behind we head for the Hunter region to enjoy a camp oven cooked lunch and show with `The Drover’ and his famous singing cattle dogs, `The Fleabag Trio’. Our afternoon takes us through the Myall Lakes National Park arriving at the stunning beachfront Australis Resort at Diamond Beach for an overnight stay.
Day 6 – Tue 21st Feb 2012 (B,MT,L,D)
This morning we travel north along the NSW Mid North Coast stopping for morning tea before arriving at the Big Banana. After lunch take in an informative show about this industry and roam the plantation and packing sheds. Later we head into Coffs Harbour, where we check-in to the beautiful Novotel Pacific Bay Resort for an overnight stay.
Day 7 – Wed 22nd Feb 2012 (B,MT,L)
Today we leisurely head for home. We take in a morning tea break at Maclean before passing through Lennox Head and arriving in Byron Bay for lunch. Crossing into Queensland we return to Roma St, Brisbane.
