Day 1 – WEDNESDAY 9th May 2012 (L,D)
OAHU “The Gathering Place”

Depart on Hawaiian Airlines flight 452 at 9:20pm from Sydney, arriving Honolulu, Hawaii, USA at 11:00am (same day). Flower Lei greeting before being transferred to the Outrigger Waikiki Reef on the Beach Hotel to check-in to our Ocean View rooms. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon of leisure, explore world famous Waikiki or relax on the beach. Special welcome evening meal at the Ocean House Restaurant tonight.
 

Day 2 – THURSDAY 10th May 2012 (B,L,D)

We spend a full day at the Polynesian Cultural Centre with VIP Super Ambassador tickets, including a personal guided tour of the villages, private canoe tour, backstage tour and reserved seating at all village presentations and Pageant of the Long Canoes show. After lunch we are personally guided through the displays of the various cultures of the Pacific Islands. Tonight, dinner is the highlight of the day with an evening performance, The Polynesian Show.

Day 3 – FRIDAY 11th May 2012 (B,L,D)

Today we are escorted by boat transfer from the US Navy to visit the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbour to learn about the WWII bombing. Enjoy lunch overlooking Pearl Harbour before exploring Ford Island and the USS Missouri. Tonight we are treated to the marvellous Magic of Polynesia Dinner and Magic Show.

Day 4 – SATURDAY 12th May 2012 (B,L,D)
OAHU “The Gathering Place”

This morning we transfer to the NCL Pride of America cruise ship via a gossip tour of downtown Honolulu. The Pride of America welcomes you, then check-in to Balcony Deluxe Cabins on the 10th deck. The warm and friendly American crew is ready to assist you on your Hawaiian island adventure and make sure your cruise is perfect! Enjoy lunch onboard at the Aloha Café, and explore the ship until departure. Each evening dinner for the group is booked in the Liberty Restaurant (you are welcome to dine at one of the other specialty dining rooms at your own expense).

Day 5 – SUNDAY 13th May 2012 (B,L,D)
Maui “The Valley Isle”

Exclusive on-shore Fun Over 50 Charter Haleakala and Iao Valley Tour. Haleakala is a massive shield volcano that rises 10,023 feet above sea level. The park itself stretches from the summit to the sea and encompasses subalpine scrublands, dry forests, and rainforests in the Kipahulu area, which includes the beautiful pools at Oheo Gulch. We have lunch at the beautiful Upcountry Maui at the Kula Lodge Restaurant, before continuing on to Iao Valley State Park. Located in Central Maui, this peaceful state park is home to one of Maui’s most popular landmarks, the 1200-foot Lao Needle. We return to the ship mid-afternoon.

Day 6 – MONDAY 14th May 2012 (B,L,D)
Maui “ The Valley Isle”

Exclusive on-shore Fun Over 50 Maui Ocean Centre, Lahaina Town Shopping. Today we visit the Maui Ocean Centre where we are greeted and given an orientation by an Ocean Naturalist. Enjoy the playful green sea turtles, see the nation’s largest collection of living coral, and come eye to eye with numerous reef sharks. Explore the world of dolphins, whales and monk seals with the Marine Mammal Discovery Centre. Lunch will be at The Seascape Ma‘alaea Restaurant before we continue on to Lahaina Town for shopping and exploring. We return to the cruise ship in the late afternoon.

Day 7 – TUESDAY 15th May 2012 (B,L,D)
Hilo “Hawaii’s Big Island”

Exclusive on-shore Fun Over 50 Hilo Town and Volcanoes National Park Tour. Today enjoy the sights of Hilo and Volcanoes National Park visiting Rainbow Falls and Volcanoes National Park visitors centre with a guide. The park highlights two of the world’s most active volcanoes, and offers insights on the birth of the Hawaiian Islands and views of dramatic volcanic landscapes. Stop at the Steam Vents, and Jaggar Museum, then view Halemaumau Crater and Thurston Lava Tube. Lunch will be provided at the National Park. (For the best view of the Volcano you may wish to book a scenic helicopter tour. Reservations need to be arranged in advance and are in addition to tour price. Space is very limited, please advise at time of booking).

Day 8 – WEDNESDAY 16th May 2012 (B,L,D)
Kona “Hawaii’s Big Island”

Exclusive on-shore Fun Over 50 Historical Kona Tour. Our private charter today
highlights the historic sights of South Kona, including the spiritual Place of Refuge. Ancient temples and ki’i (wooden images) whisper stories from the past. Other stops on the tour will be at the Greenwell Kona Coffee Plantation, tranquil Kealakekua Bay viewing, and Kailua-Kona town drive through. After the tour you will have free time to walk around Kona Town.

Day 9 – THURSDAY 17th May 2012 (B,L,D)
Kauai “The Garden Island”

Exclusive on-shore Fun Over 50 Waimea Canyon Tour. Our private charter will pick us up at the cruise ship pier and explore panoramic Waimea Canyon which Mark Twain called “the Grand Canyon of the Pacific”. Lunch at the Waimea Plantation Restaurant and Brewery. The restaurant is located on a hotel property which was once home to the sugar cane workers. Feel free to explore the beautiful grounds and beach
before returning to the ship.

Day 10 – FRIDAY 18th May 2012 (B,L,D)
Kauai “The Garden Island”

Exclusive on-shore Fun Over 50 Wailua River, Fern Grotto & Opaeka’a Tour. Enjoy a private cruise along the Wailua River to the famed Fern Grotto. See the cascading Opaeka’a Falls, the birth stones, and Coco Palms featured in the famous Elvis Presley movie, Blue Hawaii. Return to the cruise ship before lunch. Pride of America departs Kauai today to cruise along the famous Na Pali Coastline. This afternoon indulge in a private pupu and cocktail party.

Day 11 – SATURDAY 19th May 2012 (B)
Oahu “The Gathering Place”

Cruise ship returns to Honolulu, disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport by coach. Hawaiian Airlines Flight 451 will depart Honolulu at 12:40pm for Sydney. We arrive back in Sydney on 20th May 2012 at 7:20pm. Aloha, A hui hou!
